Home Sweet Home

Sorry we haven't posted recently, but we've been a little busy getting our lives back to "normal" after our journey. Today we get the children registered for school which they will start on Tuesday. We have decided to put Andrew in 6th grade for the rest of this year so he can start meeting his classmates for next year in 7th grade. Marina will be probably be in 4th grade for the end of this year and next. The school staff will help us decide what eventual grades the children will end up in.
We've got dental appointments set up for Monday, and doctor exams on Wednesday.
I really felt nervous sending the kids passports to the Ukranian Consulate for their registration, but then realized that they would not be travelling out of the country for the forseeable future. I hope we don't need them for anything until they are returned! We'll try to be better at posting once things settle down a bit.

A Note From Amsterdam

We are on our way home! We arrived in Amsterdam at 7:30 last night and have a flight leaving for the U.S. at 1:15 this afternoon. All of us are anxious to get to Alaska and start that part of our lives together. Can't wait to hear TV in English again!

Heading Home (We think)

It now is looking like we can come home on April 20. We made the reservations today with KLM here in Kiev, with the option to move them if necessary. We hope we can move them up, but we arn't sure at this point. Regardless, April 20 should be the latest.
