School Has Started for Marina and Andrew
Summer is winding down and school started yesterday here in our little town of Seward. A big day for Marina who was excited to see some of her friends she met just before school let out for the summer when we all returned from Ukraine. Andrew is in the new middle school - which is more like a private school - as it has a small population of 7th and 8th graders. Soccer practice starts today with his first game happening next Friday when the grandparents arrive from Minnesota. Marina will have soccer starting tin the elementary in early September and will be happy to see that day arrive. Right now they are enjoying riding their new scooter on the bike path which goes for several miles right in front of our house on the waterfront. Getting to bed on time each night is still a project for all of us but rapidly the Alaska daylight of summer is becoming more like the 'lower 48' and it is no longer sun shining at 10-11 pm.... More later then...thanks for stopping by our blog for a visit!

Hello family!
I love to see your blog and know about you and about Maryna.
Please, Could you send us photos of you in Seward? I would be very happy to see how is this, and how is Maryna. We miss her a lot. Your daugher is a very beautifull girl. A lot of Maryna's friends had send me hello to her; Jordi, Jaume, Mikola, Adriana, Maryna Lesik (from her orphanage "Svitanok"). Please give her regards.
Best wishes and a lot of kisses.
